  Stay away!!!! Unless you have no other choice or option, I would suggest that you stay clear of this facility. I was forced to change insurance due to Obama Care and was referred to this facility. I first called an spoke with front desk and explained my situation and SPECIFICALLY TOLD THEM THAT I DID NOT WANT SURGERY IF NOT ABSOLUTELY NEEDED, and that i was trying to manage my pain and symptoms and wanted to be sure before making an appt., that they would be able to help me. I was assured several times that they would be able to help me. I waited 2 weeks for an appointment. When I entered the office( I had already filled out the appropriate paperwork that was mailed to me and that I had mailed back to them) and they only needed to make copies of DL and Ins. card. When I arrived I was told that they did not have my paperwork and that I would have to do it all over again!! I complied. I then waited over an hour before being called back to the office. Once the nurse finished with my vitals and pre-screen, (I once again went over why I was there and that I was not really interested in surgery if not absolutely needed) I then waited another 20 minutes for a Dr. Then entered Dr. Hereford. I, once again, explained my circumstances for being there and that I was NOT wanting surgery unless there were no other options. Dr. Hereford never once examined me, he just told me that they were surgeons, and that unless I was seeking surgery, he nor the facility, was able to help me and told me that a nurse would give me a number of some other facility that might be able to help me. Dr. Hereford spent a total of 4 minutes with me!!!!! For this, I was charged $160.00!!!!!!!! They turned this into my insurance company and now I have received a bill in the amount of $111.05, and they are threatening to turn it over to a collection agency! I have made 5 separate attempts to resolve this issue. I have left 3 messages for the office manager of which I have not received a response! I did however, speak to a woman who verbally delivered a message to the office manager while I was on hold, only to come back and tell me that the office manager said that this is what they charged. I have no problem paying a bill that is fair, but considering the fact that I was not even examined but was told that they could not help me, I feel that the charge of $160.00 is quite unfair and unreasonable. I can understand that there was time involved but there was also MY TIME AND FUEL involved as well!! An office manager should at least be willing, under these circumstances, to reduce the bill to a reasonable amount. ESPECIALLY since I was very direct and to the point of what I was looking for prior to agreeing to the appointment!! Had the front desk personnel been more knowledgeable or at the very least, spoke with a Dr or had one call me back, then ALL OF THIS would have been avoided!! I will NOT pay this bill and I will begin an investigation through my insurance carrier, as to the way this was handled from the onset.This practice apparently makes it's money by scheduling appointments with any body, regardless of whether or not this facility will help them. Or perhaps they were just hoping to get someone that is NOT knowledgeable in their own health care matters so that they can talk them into unneeded surgeries just to make a profit. This is a perfect example of why this country's healthcare system is in such dire need of repair and reform!!! I have a degree in Health Care Admin and I assure you that this is not over!!
